MAKING FIS.

Every now and then, a little gem shows up, one that you read through and know almost immediately that its going to be a good one. This is one of them. The campaign is for a company called FIS, which very basically, provides tech solutions for banking and large companies, making sure they don’t get hacked and minimise Data leaks etc (I’m sure it’s waaaay more than this but in a nutshell!). Here are a bunch of pics form the job, crew and shoot.

The shoot was a challenge as we needed to find one city that had unique architecture. Retro looking cooporate office space for two of the spots, and a particular looking location with a staircase. We checked out various cities and ended up in Prague between having the locations and the dates available for the shoot, always amazing filming there.

The client was FIS. As I said above, a worldwide financial company offering a bunch of services that are beyond my comprehension to the banking/payments system, besides the concept we were filming of course!

A job which is complex, a puzzle really, is made a whole lot easier when you have a fantastic creative team and agency producer. Sidlee, the agency, were great! Brad, Jason and Colin were constantly working to get the most out of each scene and together we got it done! Ryan, agency producer was also very aware to make things happen in front of the camera. Again, was a real pleasure working with them.

Thanks to the guys at Rakish, Preston EP and Gabe, EP. The job was produced by Paul Ure, lovely gentleman and goes without saying, nailed it, excellent professional!

locally the job was serviced through Bistro films in Prague, Pavel Prejda EP producer of Bistro films. The Producing was handled by the lovely team of Lucie Dunmore Pelantová, and her great team, Martina, production manager, Oliver and Rebecca in production.

It goes without saying that as a director, I am supported by a whole crew which are amazing at making my vision come to life, in particular the director of photography. I decided to work with Filip Marek, who I’ve wanted to work with for some time and the opportunity came on this one. What a great profesional, amazing taste and keen eye, he really does know his craft! I’d work with him again in a heart beat!

We had an excellent 1st AD, Tomás Obermaier and Livie 2nd AD.

The production designer was Lucie Amossé whoo did an incredible job, pretty big sets and she managed to combine them all effortlessly with a tight budget to say the least!

The fantastic wardrobe was styled by Dása Stefflová. It was fun, coordinated with the set design, stylish and she, along with hair and make up, all made the combination work amazingly well. Thanks to Adriana Bertosová and her team for the make up too!

More BTS form the shoot. Thanks you to everyone, it was a really fun job, a treat to work with such talented people in Prague!

Here are the three spots we filmed.
